FACT OR FICTION / TRUTH OR LIE (THIS BLOG POST FROM 2021 BEAR REPEATING)

FACT: A thing that is known or proved to be true.

FICTION: Literature in the form of prose, especially short stories and novels, that describes imaginary events and or people.who are real to create a rumour.

TRUTHFacts are understood as simply those propositions which are true. There are true propositions and false ones, and facts just are true propositions.  The truth is what is true. It may be everything that is true (reality) or just a part of it (a fact). It may also be a statement that is true: a truth. Things or statements that are not trueare untrue or false. True things exist (or have existed); false things do not (or never have).

LIE: A lie is an assertion that is believed to be false, typically used with the purpose of deceiving someone. The practice of communicating lies is called lying. A person who communicates a lie may be termed a liar

RUMOURS: Used to refer to the process by which rumours and gossip are originated and circulated among a group of people. Can currently be a circulating false story or report of uncertain or doubtful truth about a group to individual.  Can also be called, gossip, hearsay, fiction, lie.

Here we go again? seems the rumour mill is making up stories, or making negative comments without going straight to the horses mouth. As the saying goes
“Always remember… Rumors are carried by hatersspread by fools, and accepted by idiots.” —Ziad K.

The quote above is so true so I am saying do not believe everything you hear from someone you know about another without verifying the truth or asking for written or picture proof.  Then again remember those who share a chat log is in violation of terms of service in Second Life(SL), and can be subject with proof with a ban from Linden Labs(LL).

Gossip in SL thrives and manifest itself all for the wrong reasons just to either as a form of revenge, to ruin a person reputation.  It is a cancer that people get pleasure from a person  who seeks personal pleasure from destroying another.  They have no care about about who is on the other side of the screen, they just want something and the only way to get it is destroy any individual in their way.

Those who believe the gossip and perpetuate the gossip by telling others are blind and ignorant making a fool of themselves.  More so when they believe a lie to be true.

In RL they named a club "Rumours" because there was so many before they moved and changed building.  They even use the song by Marvin Gaye of Motown "I heard it through the grape vine" this ended up becoming a theme song for it.

I have been the brunt of these stories, gossip and rumours, and only one person has come to me and asked "What the fuck is going on?" I got the gist of the rumour however he had got it from another individual, of course it changes from person to person and by the time one hears it it can be a whole different story.

I am not here in SL to be a figure of fun I like being a DJ I never admitted to being a professional but I have been doing it for almost 9 years out of the 11 I have been in SL.  I do not profess to be #1 no one  I know is but there are a few who are who are good at it and what they do such as DJ Nexus.

If you hear a story about me come to me and get the facts, the truth.  Others have not and made a decision about me based on a lie when they realize it to be a lie, they say sorry but it is too late the damage has been done. Or about someone else do not repeat it and go to the horses mouth. Or paste it on virtual secrets. Ask and the truth shall set you free.

Stop the lies, untruth and rumours and lets make SL a better

 place.

Footnote 06.30.21 There are other good DJ who can know how to keep the people entertained and listen.  DJ like Nexus and myself (I am not the best but people listen I watch the stats), Ralph, have a high listener rate.  So do others.  The crowd is not everything it how many are listening.  I said once before when you have 72 on a sim and 17 listening what does say about the dj?
